Benefits claims assistance is the largest and most far reaching program conducted by VFW Post 6183.
The basic veterans benefits consist of   Service Connected Disability Compensation
                                                               Non-Service Connected Disability Pension
                                                               Education and Vocational Rehabilitation
                                                               VA Healthcare Enrollment
                                                               Veterans Life Insurance
There is too many other benefits to list, as well as too many details under each of the above main benefits to provide on this webpage.  Veterans and Surviving Spouses are most urgently recommended to contact a VFW Certified Post Service Officer, or the VFW Department of North Carolina Service Officer in the Winston-Salem VA Regional Office.
Other programs at Post 6183 include Voice of Democracy, Patriots Pen, Police Officer of the Year, Firefighter of the Year, Teacher of the Year, Comrade of the Year, Help a Hero program, Unmet Needs Progam, Veterans in Distress program, and Clothing program.  Post 6183 has the strongest Memorial Day Program in Stanly County.
