As yesterday's defenders of freedom, we want to welcome today's military service members into our ranks to become part of our elite group.  Our common bond is the battlefield, whether it is service in the Persian Gulf, Korea, Kosovo, the war on terrorism or peace-keeping expeditionary campaigns. Your courage and sacrifice have made a difference in preserving and defending world peace.
 

Announcements

The next monthly meeting of VFW Post 6183 is October 15th at 6:00 pm.  All veterans are invited to visit.  Please bring your DD 214.
 
"Voice of Democracy" and "Patriot Pen" Post 6183 winners must have cleared Post 6183 and be forwarded to District by October 31st.  Post 6183 will host the District level of "Voice of Democracy" and "Patriot Pen" competition at the Post Home on November 15th at 1000 hrs.
 
Wayne Craft was named "Comrade of the Year" for 2019 at the recent Awards Banquet at Post 6183. Congratulations, Wayne, on a well deserved award.
 
Mickey Drye was named a "Home Town Hero" for the month of March, by Joe Maus Chrysler Dodge
Jeep Ram of Albemarle in recognition for his "Relentless Hard Work and Dedication as a Post Service Officer for VFW Post 6183 of Norwood".  Congratulations, Mickey, and we hope you can keep up the good work (in your old age).
